Hörmann RSZ 1 (EcoStar) remote
The Hörmann RSZ 1 (EcoStar) is a rolling-code remote on 433.92 MHz, so a cheap universal remote can’t copy it. It’s paired at your motor, or from a remote that already works, and we send simple steps for yours.

About the Hörmann RSZ 1 (EcoStar)
The RSZ 1 is a one-button remote shaped to plug into a car’s cigarette-lighter socket, built for Hörmann’s EcoStar Liftronic 500, 700 and 800 garage operators. It uses a rolling code for security.
Is this your remote?
Look on the label or the back of the remote for:
433 MHz
What it looks like: A small plug-shaped fob that fits a car cigarette-lighter socket, with one button.
Don’t mix it up: There’s also a newer BiSecur version of the RSZ 1 for later Liftronic doors, so check the label for ‘BS’ to be sure which one you need.
Also sold as: RSZ1-433, EcoStar RSZ 1.
Still not sure? Upload a photo below and we’ll match it, or send it and we’ll check it by hand.

How it’s set up
This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes. Rolling code vs fixed code explains why.
We email simple steps for your system with every order, and if it won’t pair, email us and we’ll walk you through it.
Seen it cheaper somewhere else?
Check it’s the genuine Hörmann remote. Many cheaper listings are copies or “compatible” remotes, not the manufacturer’s own. A genuine Hörmann remote has the Hörmann name on it, usually on the front or on the label on the back, along with the model name. Copies often leave the name off, and some won’t pair with a rolling-code system at all. A universal remote that works by copying can’t copy a rolling code.
Every remote we sell is the genuine Hörmann remote, with set-up help included.
