About the Hörmann HSP 4 (868 MHz)

The HSP 4 is a round, disc-shaped fob with four black buttons and a small lock-out switch, and it’s the pre-BiSecur version of the HSP 4 BS. It’s a fixed-code remote for 868 MHz Hörmann operators from 2005 to 2012 and the HER 2 receiver, and like a few other models in that range it doesn’t have the light blue buttons some people use to spot a fixed-code Hörmann remote.

Is this your remote?

Look on the label or the back of the remote for:

HSP4-868

What it looks like: A round disc-shaped fob with a keyring, four black buttons and a small lock-out switch.

Don’t mix it up: It’s the earlier counterpart to the HSP 4 BS, so it’s worth checking whether your operator takes a rolling-code BiSecur remote or this older fixed-code version.

Also sold as: HSP 4-C, HSP4-868, HSP 4 868, HSP4-C 868.

Still not sure? Upload a photo below and we’ll match it, or send it and we’ll check it by hand.

What it works with

  • 868 MHz fixed-code operators 2005-2012
  • HER 2 receiver

How it’s set up

This is a fixed-code remote: it sends the same signal every time, so you set it to match the code your door already uses, either by copying it from your current remote or by setting the same code inside it. Rolling code vs fixed code explains the difference.

We email simple steps for your system with every order, and if it won’t pair, email us and we’ll walk you through it.

Seen it cheaper somewhere else?

Check it’s the genuine Hörmann remote. Many cheaper listings are copies or “compatible” remotes, not the manufacturer’s own. A genuine Hörmann remote has the Hörmann name on it, usually on the front or on the label on the back, along with the model name. With a fixed-code system a copy can sometimes work, but it isn’t the manufacturer’s remote and quality varies, so check the listing says genuine and the photos show the Hörmann name.

Every remote we sell is the genuine Hörmann remote, with set-up help included.
